Who can open Sukanya Samriddhi Account?
Sukanya Samriddhi Account can be opened by the natural or legal guardian in the name of a girl child. Age of girl child should be less than 10 years. Maximum two account can be opened by guardian of two girl childs.

One can deposit minimum Rs.1000 and maximum Rs.150000 per annum.
Interest rate of Sukanya Samriddhi Account.
There is no fixed interset rate. Government will declare interest rate of Sukanya Samriddhi Joyana yearly basis. Interest rate for
this financial year ( 2015 – 2016) is 9.2%.
Term period of Sukanya Samriddhi Account.
You have to deposit money for 14 years and amount will be matured after 21 years from the date of opening of the account. Account will be closed on unfortunate death of account holder and balance of account shall be paid the guardian of account holder.
Guardian can withdraw up to 50% of deposit for the purpose higher education after 18 year age of girl child.
