Staff Selection Commission is inviting application from eligible candidate for post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’( Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted ) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’(Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted). Commission will hold on Sunday, the 27th December 2015 written examination for filling up these posts. I will give details about SSC Stenographer Syllabus (Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’) Examination 2015. Total number of post is 1064 and required qualification is 12th passed from or equivalent from a recognized Board or University as on 01.08.2015. Age limit is 18-27 years as on 01.08.2015. There are three papers 1.General Intelligence & Reasoning, 2.General Awareness, 3.English Language and Comprehension.
SSC Stenographer Syllabus: Number of Question and Total number.
General Awareness & General Intelligence & Reasoning each paper consist of 50 questions and each question carries 1 mark. Total number of question in English Language and Comprehension is 100 and each question carries 1 mark. Total Duration / Timing for General candidates is 2 Hours and Total Duration/ Timing for Visually Handicapped/cerebral pulsy candidates is 2 Hours 40 mins.
SSC Stenographer Syllabus: General Intelligence & Reasoning.
Verbal and non-verbal type reasoning would be structured on the question paper. Reasoning type- arithmetical computation, relationship, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, similarities and differences, verbal and figure classification, analogies, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning.
SSC Stenographer Syllabus: General Awareness
General Awareness questions will consist of candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him or her and its application to society, knowledge of current events, matters of everyday observation, Indian History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research and sports etc.

English Language and Comprehension design question to test candidate writing ability and understanding of the English, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc.
